This 800 square foot space holds three bedrooms and an open flow living room and kitchen. Beautiful Cape May with its restaurants, nature spots, wineries and antique shopping is only 15 minutes away.
Relax in the Sun-filled Living Room with Fireplace
The sun filled main living space has a new oversized West Elm sectional, a new 55” “The Frame” Ultra HD 4K flatscreen smart TV, and a warming electric fireplace. A small built-in "mudroom" nook holds a handcrafted bench, shelf and hooks to ensure you can drop and go or pick-up and go as needed. Vintage records, a record player and assorted instruments set you up for the daily music session.
Grill, Lounge & Explore the Bay
Relax on the expansive back deck - which spans the entire length of the house - with its comfy lounge furniture and large table, grilling up your catch of the day on the gas grill. Let the kids run around the fenced in backyard or take a nap in the hammock. Take the kayak out on the bay - less than a block away - or use your beach tags to explore the nearby ocean beaches. Use your beach cart, umbrella, toys and chairs to set up at the beach for the day.
Rest, Connect and Create
The entire space is designed for play and relaxation with puzzles, games, curated books and yoga and meditation amenities. A special “maker space” (the third bedroom) holds art materials for your use. Write a postcard, paint, draw, color or take time for journaling.
Cook in the Fully Stocked Eat-in Kitchen
Adorned with antique tiles and marble shelves, the fully-stocked, eat-in kitchen has everything you need to cook a big meal together and relax. Start your morning at the built-in coffee and tea nook with its Ninja, French press, electric kettle and assorted teas and coffee. The gas stove with griddle, French door refrigerator with ice maker, and dishwasher make cooking easeful. Cookbooks, cookware, tools, spices, cocktail amenities and microwave, blender, crockpot, mixer and toaster round out the offerings. A large table with comfy chairs let you share your feast together.
Enjoy a Bath in the Soaking Tub or Take a Rain Shower
The quaint spa-like bathroom has a soaking tub and rain shower. Beautiful details abound - a turn-of-the-century antique door, handmade tile and a marble top vanity. Toiletry essentials and hand towels are provided, including locally Cape May made Shore Soaps. Just outside the bathroom is a washer and dryer.
Three Bedrooms with Vintage & Artful Touches
- The main bedroom, filled with natural light, holds a queen bed, organic mattress and hypoallergenic down-alternative pillows. An antique writing desk and closet give you the space to settle and connect in. Antique lights and artwork from local artists give this room a calm and unique feel.
- The second bedroom has a full bed tucked into a lovely little nook with books and art. It offers an organic memory foam mattress and hypoallergenic down-alternative pillows. A small nook holds a dresser and hooks, and a full length mirror and handmade moss art adorns the space.
- The third and smallest bedroom we call the Maker Space. Custom stained glass above the door, a unique curved wall, a vintage desk and numerous art supplies make this room so unique. There is a twin daybed with storage underneath in beautiful rattan containers, as well as hooks and a luggage carrier.
Enjoy the Beauty of Cape May
The ocean beaches, antique shopping, and the renowned restaurants of downtown Cape May are a short 15 minute drive, and within a few miles you can find many restaurants, hiking spots, breweries, distilleries. wineries, and the wonderful Beach Plum Farm. The ferry to Rehoboth Beach is just 15 minutes away, as is the fabulous Exit Zero Ferry Station with its great food and drinks. The Cape May County Zoo and lighthouse are perfect daytime trips within this same area. Wildwood with its vintage charm, boardwalk, rides and games is 20 minutes away. During Fall and into Winter there are so many great events, including the Cape May Fall Festival, Halloween Parade (and don't forget dining at Menz Restaurant and Bar!), Cape May Jazz Festival, Cape May Restaurant Weekend and the famous West Cape May Christmas Parade.
